I am a PhD student from the School of Media and Communication at University of Leeds, UK. I specialized in comparative media systems in new democracies with a special focus in Latin America and Mexico. Most of my research focuses in the comparative media studies field, freedom of the media in transitional regimes, public media service beyond the west, and media coverage of political events.
I hold a BA in Communication from the Panamerican University (2008) and a Master in Political Science from El Colegio de México (2011), both in Mexico City. I am also a member of the Counciel of Internacional Affairs (COMEXI) and Society of Latin America Studies (SLAS).
